Our new apartment

Here are some pictures of our apartment. Don't mind the mess though. boxes are still everywhere. I got rid of a ton of stuff before we left but I think I needed to get rid of everything but clothes. There just isn't enough storage space! We will survive though. Ava seems to have grown some extra cheeks and the boys are loving it here. We miss you all but we are having a great adventure! The ward here has been awesome so far. I have had several calls asking if I need anything from babysitting to help unpacking. I love it! We hope to see you all very soon!!

Sights, Smells, and Sounds of Colorado

Here are some pictures that Phil took of tourist sites while he was here without us. Some of the sounds that obviously you won't be able to hear is Phil breathing really hard because of the high altitude.



Obviously this is Pike's Peak and the view from the top.





The Garden Of The Gods



This is called the balancing rock. It is being held up by a very small piece of rock.



This is a picture of the rocks Phil had to drive the truck through to get into the parking lot. There was about 6" to a foot on either side of the truck.



This was a tree that it looks like the roots just got peeled back.



There is a bush growing out the top of this rock.



THe Seven Falls







This is the entrance to the eagles nest to view all seven of the waterfalls. There were stairs you could take but Phil was already out of breath just walking from the parking lot!





This was the sign that started your journey to the top of the Seven Falls. This time there was no elevator.

Finally!

We are finally in Colorado!! We are living in a 2 bedroom apartment. It is definately smaller than our house but it will work for now. It has been hard getting used to the thinner air, we are all very tired. Even Morgan if it is even possible gets tires! We had lots of help moving in from the Elders quorum here in our new ward. We are going to take lots of pictures and put them up so look back for more.
