Kids

Ava has been trying to sit on her own but just ends up folding herself in half. Then she figured it out! Now she pretty much sits up all the time.

Morgan wanted a hat so I made him an elephant out of construction paper.

Derek Just needed to take a nap!

Little update

Phil and I recieved our first calling in our new ward. We have been called to serve as Ward Missionaries. It is definately different from anything either of us have done but we are hoping to learn alot from the experience.

Fin Whale Skeleton

This Whale skeleton was hanging from the ceiling at the museum. It weighs almost 3,000 lbs. A live one would weigh almost 54,000 lbs., and can get up to 88 feet long. This is the second largest mammal after the Blue Whale.

Denver Museum of Nature and Science

We all went to the museum this last saturday. We spent 5 hours there, went through 2 video tapes, 110 pictures, 5 dirty diapers, 2 bottles, quite a few tantrums but in the end we all had lots of fun and it was well worth it. Enjoy the pictures.

Derek is playing inside a crater with moon rocks. There were also some astronaut suits especially for kids that he let me put on him. Morgan was too busy to spot and put on a suit.

There was an infrared camera inside the space area We got lots of video but apparently only one picture. This one is Phil and Ava and my legs

These next pictures were taken inside the Discovery Zone! The first two are Morgan and Derek inside a Triceratops nest. Derek played in there pretty much the whole time Morgan of course was in there for about 5 minutes and then moved on. There was also a bin with dinosaur tails you could velcro on so Morgan and Derek wandered around with them on. The last pictures are the boys discovering dinosaur bones in a pile of rubber pieces. After a while Derek got bored of digging and started eating, so we decided it was time to move on. In almost every picture we took Ava's tongue was hanging out.

We all decided to try on these Mule Deer ears.

We took alot of pictures, these are just a few. The rest I will be scrapbooking and putting them into our Denver Adventures Book. We also saw lots of dinosaur bones, Mammoth bones, an Egyptian exhibit and a huge Whale skeleton hanging from the ceiling over the stairs.

Ava's new summer dress

I made this dress today for Ava. This is the first dress I have made her since she was born. She was not very happy as you can see.

Ava on her knees!

I can't believe how fast they grow up! Ava has been getting up on her knees now for about a week and a half. She has even crawled a little bit!
