We aren't going to have a tree this year due to it being in our storage unit in Missouri! So, I have to make up for it in decorating as much as I can. I saw an idea in a magazine(can't remember which one)to use the colored bulbs you normaly hang on your tree as a garland!
This was the first try. Not sure if I'll keep it. What do you think?
This is over our fireplace! It's a work in progress but we're having fun doing it!

I think it's a cute idea! Sometimes I really don't want to go through the hassle of putting up a tree, but I'll do it anyway. It takes up so much space in our cramped house.
