I found a set of chairs at a garage sale for $5! I cleaned them up but was way too pregnant to fix the corner of one chair that had been chewed off by the previous owners dog. Now that I have "time" I decided to try and patch it. Enjoy the fun!
Blogger turned my picture sideways! Grrr! Any way this is what it looked like before. I hot glued some stuffing inside the hole to fill it in. Then I took the head rest cover that matched the chair fabric, it was already falling apart, and I cut it to fit the whole corner. From the piping at the bottom to above the tear. I folded over the raw edges and glued them down.
Then I started to glue the edges starting from the far left, along the bottom and up the other side.
Gluing the top was a little tricky. I ended up just folding it over and hot gluing like crazy to get it flat and neat!.jpg)
Side Picture :)
Then I wanted it to match the curtains and a love seat I just bought. So I went to Hobby Lobby and purchased 8 yards of 2-3" fringe in a matching color. I then proceeded to hot glue the fringe on starting with the bottom row. I glued it on just above the piping so I knew it would be straight.
Then I glued the top row on just barely above where the chair starts to curve under the cushion, so it would cover the patch.
